HIAP Open Studio Winter 2025
Excerpts from the work-in-progress three-channel moving image were presented at HIAP open studio (Helsinki, Finland). The film investigates the battery economy of electric vehicles and mining industries of the Gulf of Finland and Southwest China. As a “time machine” the electric vehicle travels through the wormholes of globalization, moving between snow-covered mining landscape and collectivist theater of third front construction. Within this compressed space-time, historical archives, research, and speculative future intertwine through fragmented narrative.
